Privacy Policy
Draft of 24 September 2026, under review
This policy explains how Get Covered, operated by Snow AI, collects, uses and shares information when you use getcovered.cloud, getcovered.agency and their apps.
1. Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use Get Covered: as a visitor looking at plans, as a person with coverage, or as an agent or agency.
- When you get a quote: your ZIP code and county, household income, the number of people in your household, the date of birth and tobacco use of each person applying, and the plans you looked at. Your name, phone number and email are optional; a quote works without them.
- Your choices: whether you ticked the box agreeing to be contacted about other cover, the wording you agreed to and when, and whether you switched on Do not sell or share.
- From your device: the IP address a request came from, the language you chose, and the information in the cookies and similar storage described below. We also record signs that a form was filled in by an automated program, to keep the site free of spam.
- If you have coverage through an agent who uses Get Covered: the details your agent keeps to serve you, such as your coverage, deadlines, notes, documents you or your agent upload, and messages between you. This is health information and is protected as described under Securing your information.
- If you are an agent or an agency: your name, email and phone, your National Producer Number (NPN), your agency's name, state, website and, if you give it, its tax ID, and the people you add to your agency. We check an NPN against the public list that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publishes of agents and brokers registered with the Marketplace.
- When you write to us or use live help: what you write, and, if you ask for it, a translation of it.
2. How information may be used
- To show you plans, prices and estimated savings, and to keep the quote you asked for so it is there when you or an agent follow up.
- To run accounts for agents, agencies and the people they serve, and to let each see only what they are allowed to see.
- To contact you about the quote you asked for, and, only if you agreed in the consent box, about other health cover and other products such as life insurance.
- To answer questions, give live help, and send the notices an account needs, such as sign-in codes and deadlines.
- To keep the service secure, stop fraud and misuse, and fix problems.
- To meet our legal duties, including the standards of 45 CFR §155.220 and §155.260 that apply to websites that help people with Marketplace coverage.
3. How information may be shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows.
- With the agent or agency you work with, so they can help you.
- With the Health Insurance Marketplace, a state exchange, or an insurance company, when you or your agent apply for or manage coverage.
- With the services we use to run Get Covered, such as hosting, email delivery and translation, which may use it only to provide that service to us. Plan searches are sent to healthcare.gov and to HealthSherpa's quoting service with the ZIP code, ages, income and household size needed to price plans, not your name or contact details.
- With Snow AI, which operates this website, and the companies in its family, to provide and improve the service.
- With partners, only if you ticked the consent box, and never if you switched on Do not sell or share.
- When the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Get Covered uses cookies and similar storage in your browser. Today these are the only things stored:
- Your sign-in session, so you stay signed in. Essential.
- The language you chose. Essential.
- Display preferences such as dark mode and tips you’ve closed. Kept only in your browser.
- Your cookie choice, for one year.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies today. Optional storage is on unless you turn it off: choose Deny non-essential on the cookie bar, or switch categories off in Storage preferences, from the cookie button at the foot of any page. Your choices are kept in the browser you make them in, so set them again on each device or browser you use.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: Get Covered does not track you across other websites, so a browser's Do Not Track signal does not change anything here. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as your request to switch on Do not sell or share.
5. Your choices
- Ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, by writing to support@getcovered.cloud. Some information must be kept to meet legal duties, and we will tell you if that applies.
- Withdraw your agreement to be contacted about other cover at any time, by unticking the box or writing to us. Any marketing message we send also carries a way to stop them.
- Switch on Do not sell or share, in Storage preferences, to keep your details from partners.
- Change your cookie choices at any time from the cookie button.
- People in California, New Jersey and other states have further rights under their state's law, set out under State privacy rights below.
6. State privacy rights and California Privacy Notice
Some states give their residents rights over their personal information. We honor the rights below for everyone who uses Get Covered, wherever they live. Health information that is protected under HIPAA is handled under HIPAA instead, as described under Securing your information.
California Privacy Notice. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you may ask to know what personal information we collect, use and share about you and why; to receive a copy of it; to correct it; to delete it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing, which you can do by switching on Do not sell or share. You may also ask what personal information we shared with others for their own marketing in the past year. Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act, this policy says how we respond to Do Not Track signals (under Cookies and similar technologies).
New Jersey. Under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act you may ask to confirm whether we process your personal data and to see it; to correct it; to delete it; to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere; and to opt out of its sale, of targeted advertising and of profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We use sensitive data, such as health information, only with your consent or as the law allows.
To use any of these rights, write to support@getcovered.cloud, call (305) 564-4050, or write to Get Covered, 65 Avenue B, Lodi, NJ 07644. We will check that the request comes from you, or from someone you have authorized to act for you, and answer within 45 days, or tell you if we need longer as the law allows. If we decline, we will say why, and you may appeal by replying to our answer; if you are not satisfied with the outcome of an appeal, you may contact your state attorney general or, in New Jersey, the Division of Consumer Affairs.
We will not treat you differently, charge you differently or give you a lesser service for using any of these rights.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as an account is open or as needed to provide the service, and afterwards for as long as the law requires, including the record-keeping rules for agents and brokers who help with Marketplace coverage. Then it is deleted or made anonymous.
8. Securing your information
Get Covered runs in Amazon Web Services in the United States. Health information is kept in an encrypted database on a private network that cannot be reached from the internet, and only through an interface that checks who is asking on every request. Agents and the people they serve sign in separately, and an agent sees only their own clients.
No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee it, but we work to protect it and will tell you as the law requires if a breach affects you.
9. Children
Accounts are for people aged 18 and over. A parent or guardian may give information about children in their household to get coverage for them. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
Get Covered links to other websites, such as HealthCare.gov, state exchanges and insurance companies. Their own privacy notices apply there, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.
11. Outside the United States
Get Covered is for people in the United States and is run under United States law. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is handled in the United States.
12. Use of artificial intelligence
Some features use automated tools: live help can translate messages between languages, and agents can dictate notes using the speech recognition built into their browser. These tools are used only to provide the feature and are held to the same protections as the rest of Get Covered. We do not use your health information to train artificial intelligence.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect.
